As a woman, I’ve noticed the viral concept of lonely men in my everyday life. But why has this become a common phenomenon?

As a human — who is a woman — I have noticed this new population on the planet. The population consists of humans — specifically men — who are classified as lonely.

I call this phenomenon The Epidemic of Lonely Hearts.

I have witnessed this concept more than once in recent times. And honestly, my experience concerning lonely men seems to be the same routine.

A girl walks into the store.
A girl minds her own business.
A boy approaches the girl.
The boy is not a boy — but an older man with a cane.
The girl doesn’t realize that the older man is flirting.
The older man becomes too forward.
The girl draws her own conclusion and politely walks away without any explanation.

The girl is me. The girl is you. The girl is anyone who has experienced this rise of men — old enough to be their father — being overly forward about their interest in them.

Now, I’m not knocking older men. But I’m 31. I don’t want a man who looks forward to getting the AARP magazine every month. But more specifically, I don’t…
