Are we truly empowered?
The contrast is striking — violent, even. We met for the first time at Diane’s house in the welcoming Sandia foothills nearly one year ago. What was our charge? We weren’t entirely sure. We believed that we would develop our leadership skills over the coming year to better serve our CNM colleagues and our community.
Nearly everyone reported that we were able to come together extremely quickly as an ELY community in the comfort of Diane’s home, even with discussion prompts that created discomfort and uncertainty.
A final meeting in TM 209 conjures a different feeling entirely: Clinical. Uninviting. Business-like.
