Asked to outline which specific tasks take up the most bandwidth, the associate deans all pointed to scheduling. It’s a nuanced puzzle that never quite ends. From building the master schedule of courses, to making assignments, to watching enrollment numbers as the first day gets nearer, to adding or canceling sections, the task never ends.

When I wanted to write about the day-to-day of my role, scheduling was the first thing that came to mind. That might also be due to the fact that cancelations for summer term happened this week. . .
