Today, I went to see Landesmuseum, which usually isn’t in any “top places to see in Zurich”, and was never recommended to me as an attraction. Kinda understandable — it’s just another boring national history museum. I will try to not bore you with Swiss history stuff, but instead show you things I found interesting, such as the whole section about Swiss banking secrecy laws, and how they went to sh*t after 2008. I took pictures of things I found interesting, and under every picture I’ll talk about them.

These talk about how Gutenberg’s machine was invented, and just like with all the good things, how it was abused shortly after.

Swiss francs from 1650 — they look exactly the same as now!

Political caricature, where you have a room with OECD countries, and countries which are tax havens, and Swiss guy says “Now I don’t know who my friends are!”

“Gentlemen from IRS”

Swiss bank secrecy laws? And it’s gone…

How Swiss got social values.

How Swiss handled being a multi-lingual confederation.

Swiss war flag.

It took a lot of time for Swiss to allow women vote!
