Top 10 Free Apps That Connect With Achievement (and Don’t Require a Wearable)

Achievement provides one place for all of your health and fitness data. We believe that by having your health data all in one place, together we can help you make more informed health decisions, and ultimately help you achieve better health outcomes. While wearable devices are able to provide you with valuable health data and motivation, we know there is a lot more to learn and earn through other apps and tools. Here’s our list of the top 10 free apps that connect with Achievement:

1. Apple Health

If you have an iPhone, this is a must connect app for Achievement. Apple Health tracks your steps and other health activities without you ever having to wear or do a thing. Today, our phones are often with us the entire day. Apple Health will automatically record steps, walking and running distance and flights climbed. iPhone users, it would be a huge miss to not connect Apple Health with Achievement

2. Foursquare

Foursquare is an app that allows you to check in wherever your day may take you. You may be thinking, why would Achievement award me points for checking in places? How could that possibly help me reach my health goal? At Achievement, we award you points for checking in at health and fitness related locations. Anytime you check-in at the gym, park, or doctor’s office, we’ll award you points. While on its’ own this information may not be interesting, together with your other health data we can start to see trends in where you check-in and your overall health.

3. Google Fit

Google Fit is another app that effortlessly tracks your daily activities. You never need to wear a wearable or manually track steps or exercises. As long as you have Google Fit downloaded on your Android device, you can start effortlessly earning points on Achievement. Android users and Google lovers, be sure to connect this app today.

4. MapMyRun, MapMyHike, MapMyWalk, MapMyRide, MapMyFitness

Okay, we may be cheating a little. This isn’t one app, but five. However, in terms of functionality, you will be able to record any type of workout using any of these apps. What we love about these apps is that you can download the app(s) that are most catered towards your goals and the experience you want. For example, MapMyRun will provide nearby running routes and MapMyRide will provide nearby routes for cyclists. You can even use your same username and password for each of these apps.

5. Strava

Strava lets you track your bike or run, map your route, and analyze your performance. You are not limited to logging just biking and running. You can also check your performance for swimming, walking, and other exercises as well! This is a great app for people who want to turn their smartphone into a fitness tracker.

6. MyFitnessPal

While most of the apps on this list provide some option for food logging, MyFitnessPal is one of our favorite apps for tracking your diet and nutrition. MyFitnessPal provides a free calorie counter, diet and exercise journal. However, what we love most about MyFitnessPal, is they aim to not just provide help with weight loss (if that’s your goal), but help you in making informed decisions about the food you eat. They make it easy to not just see the calorie content of your food, but also it’s nutritional value.

7. Runkeeper

If you’re a runner, then we highly suggest connecting Runkeeper with Achievement. Track your runs (or walks, hikes and more) and Runkeeper will give you a clear view of your workouts in real time. The app also allows you to set goals and follow a plan if you’re training for a race, want to improve your running pace, and more.

8. Samsung Health

9. Stop Breathe Think

Steps and exercise are just a small part of your health journey. We strive to connect you with apps that give you a holistic view of your health, and that’s why we love Stop, Breathe & Think. The app is a personalized meditation and mindfulness app that allows you to check in with your emotions, recommends short guided meditations based on how you are feeling, and much more. On Achievement, we allow you to access your meditation activities alongside your health and fitness data, and we think that’s pretty powerful.

10. Twitter

You may once again be thinking, why would I want to connect Twitter with Achievement? How is Twitter helping me in reaching my health goals? A recent study found that exercise can be socially contagious. We award you points for tweeting about your health and fitness journey.
