Season 2 of Victoria!!! What to Expect..
Tonight is the time to clear your schedules, get the perfect snack and watch televisions new hit Drama Series Victoria. I have written about this show before, so this is just an update. So far, in Season 1 we have seen Victoria blossom into a beautiful young woman as the supreme ruler of Great Britain, becoming a wife and soon to be mother in this season. Now, as I thought my Sunday’s would become empty, I found out that Victoria has been renewed for a second season!!!!! Honestly, I couldn’t be more happy, to actually have a show on television that’s educational and also entertaining.
Plus, the role of Victoria is played by Jenna Coleman who is phenomenal and Tom Hughes commands the stage in his royal positions as Victoria’s husband Prince Albert who is such a dream. Now let’s talk about season two shall we? Ok!
“According to express.co.uk here is what we will expect from the new season. First off, The new season will air in the autumn and will be followed by a Christmas special.Season two is set in the 1840s, which screenwriter Daisy Goodwin has described as “a decade of revolution, famine and unrest — and for Victoria, much childbearing.” ITV has teased: “Even though she reigned in the 19th Century, Victoria is a heroine for our times. In the next series she faces the very modern dilemma of how to juggle children with her husband and her job.”
They went on to say, “As Victoria will discover, it’s hard to be a wife, a mother and ruler of the most powerful nation on earth!”
Victoria gave birth to her first child in 1940, as was shown in the season one finale. The Queen loathed being pregnant, but contraception was not freely available at the time.She went on to have another five children before the decade was over, and three more in the 1850s. Prince Albert was a strict father, but in Victoria’s eyes he could do no wrong.”
