BTCNEXT Exchange Update #35

Financial markets

Gold finally exceeded the resistance level of $1,900 per ounce. The debt load in the US and the unlimited money printing should, sooner or later, have a negative impact on the dollar. At the same time, USD is still holding its positions against most assets and the rise in gold’s price here acts as a trigger for the incipient trend.

Last week, one barrel of WTI crude oil strengthened to $66.40. American statistics indicate a sharp decline in raw material stocks to the lowest levels in the last three months. This is happening against the backdrop of recovery in key economies.

Key indices are moving up to new heights despite a hard pullback in mid-May. The S&P 500 is trading at $4,200. The Dow Jones is at the $34,500 mark.

Crypto market

The crypto market capitalization has not substantially changed over the last 7 days. UNI grew the most: +35.2% in one week. XLM dropped more than the others: -6%. The QDAO price dropped by 0.8%, BNX grew by +35.2%, NOAHP dipped by 39.1%.

Bitcoin did fall. At its bottom end, the price reached $30,000, followed by a sharp buyback. Then there were 2 more attempts to break through the support line. BTC is currently trading at $36,500 and we may well see a rise to $40,000 within a week. Globally, the main cryptocurrency’s price could recover its highs within a couple of months. A bullish sentiment remains in the market despite the correction.
