[Announcement] New Duel Cup Rules(*September 2nd Update)
Based on the Duel Cup rules implemented on August 30th,
we will further improve the rules with the next update.
The new update will be going live with the next duel cup, scheduled to be held on Sept 6th.
There are three major changes:.
1: A player who wins against a specific opponent once, will not be able to fight the same opponent again during the whole cup.
2: If two or more users have the same points, there will be a new mechanic to decide the ranking.
3: You can challenge opponents up to 28 times in the whole tournament. Within one period of the cup, you can challenge up to to 7 opponents.
Changes
1: “Battling conditions with the same opponent”
During the tournament, you will not be able to fight against the same opponent against whom you already won once.
If you lose against an opponent, you can always challenge the same opponent until you win. The maximum amount of challenges is still capped for the total attack number of 28 during the tournament and 7 during a cup period. (1 day)
2: “How to decide the position, if two or more players have the same points”
If two or more players have the same points within the tournament, the player with the most Damage Dealt is placed highest. Please note: Most Damage Dealt only accounts for the damage you dealt when you attacked someone. Damage dealt during defense does not count for this equation.
If two or more players have exactly the same points and exactly the same damage dealt, those players share the same position and will be rewarded with the same reward.
3: “Ranking list and update timing of the number of battles”
The total number of battles is 28. You can battle up to 7 times within the renewal time. (cup period)
When the update time comes, it doesn’t matter how many battles are left.
The number of available battles will be reset to the “0/7” display. Unused battles do not carry forward into the new period cup.

Other rules that have changed since 8/15 are:
1: Review real-time updates
The ranking list itself will not be updated until the cup period has finished and the duel points get updated.(details of times are above)
However, you can check other things like your battle-log and your temporary ranking, points and so on.(※You can not see other players’ battle log during Oni-time.)
2. Pre-Entry
Duel Cup starts from UTC+0700.
You can already enter and set your decks in advance from UTC+0600.
3: UI Improvements
1) Users can already the potential loss or gain in Duel Points before they attack their opponent.
2) If a players does not have any Duel Points yet, it is displayed with ‘-’.
4: Changes to the winning/losing rules if there is [Time Up]
If the time is up, usually the winner was “player with most surviving heroes” (3v3) and “ winner is defensive side”(99 Duel Cup). Beginning this Duel Cup, however, both kind of battles will have the same rule:
Winner = “Player with the highest total number of damage dealt to the other player”
If, by any chance, the attacking side and the defending side have the same value, “defensive side” will win.
