[announcement] 2019 road map (August-September)

Theme of this Roadmap

The goal of this roadmap is to increase the battle variety and improve our UI / UX. We’ll also involve the community more into decision making and into the actual battles. (see Special Raid below)


Looking back from the previous roadmap

Ecosystem

We will shift to an ecosystem centered around land which a wide variety of user-groups can benefit from (scheduled in July)

From now on, we will only carry out minor corrections or minor improvements while looking at the situation.

UI/UX

We added a new UI / UX designer to the team, who will be working on making the game easier to understand for new users.

The overall goal is that new users understand the concept of NFTs and blockchain gaming. All your invested time and money are your assets. You do not simply consume a game. Instead, you invest into characters and grow their value by playing.

We started with the team edit screen and will also update the quest-flow, so that new users can actually understand what’s going on. The new UI/UX should should be easier to understand than the current version.

We will be rolling out the new designs gradually with minor updates each time. (July-September)

UI / UX improvements

Overseas Community

We tested more user acquisition channels for international users. The initial results where very promising, but new international users don’t stick with the game for long. The reason are difficult to understand UI/UX, lack of english content, and missing english version for the mobile app.

We will be fixing the above things and continue our user acquisition campaigns once we’re ready. (July-August)


Roadmap of August and September

Besides the things mentioned above, we will focus on making the battle mechanics and tournaments more interesting. This is how:

Duel Cup

  • Fixing of the ‘last minute battle’ issue
    Since battle attempts are reset at 9am JST, most users do their 10 battles at ~8:55 JST to get the maximum points out of their wins. It therefore became a ‘fast-clicking-competition’ and gave users an advantage to do their 10 battles very fast before the battle reset.
    We will change that mechanic to provide a more fair battle mechanic that is independent of timezones.
  • Expand the variation of the fun of the Duel Cup
    We will add more new regulations and Duel Cup types such as.
    Examples: No Same Extension; Division based Duel Cup (like Land Battle)

Land battle

・It should be more enjoyable for non-G5 players
We will think about ways for non-G5 players to contribute to the honor of the Land more. Stay tuned for more updates.

JIN

Under consideration and development based on the following.
・Encourage the use of hero combinations
・New value for owned assets
・New element for the ecosystem

Arena

We will improve the Arena and add more features.
“Arena is like a Sandbox!”
The possibilities for diverse ways of playing are endless!

The goal of the Arena is to have ‘user generated content’ that creates constant entertainment. We will add tools for Arena creators to offer more diverse tournaments.

We will be collecting ideas and opinions from the user community in August, and we plan to implement it after September.

Special Raid

In addition to the regular raid, we are planning “MCH × User Collaboration” to involve the community more into the game design.
(Which player will appear in the first raid scheduled for September …?)

We will announce more information regarding the User Collaboration Raid soon!


Next Legendary Hero Sale Announcement

We will be selling three legendary heroes, available 20 times each.

・ Hero Sale start time: UTC 8/2 (Fri) 3:30 a.m. -(scheduled)
・ Starting price of each Legendary hero: 83,913 GUM (scheduled)
We will might make adjustments to the schedule based on the results of the Legendary Replica Hero Trial happening this week.


Future MCH

In line with the above road map, we would like to develop MCH in August and September.

In the long run, we would like to develop “My Crypto Heroes” as “Game that has the various persona and stands at one ecosystem.”

Also, we’ll make our effort to offer users a new experience with blockchain technology.
