Hi I’m Game Senmu. Thank you for always supporting us.

First of all, we apologize for our announcement about Extension Wars and our new plan coming late.

We needed to solve several problems and consider things for more updates on MCH, which took time.

I will talk about our plan regarding renewing Land Nodes with a new system and Extensions in this article.

We used to announce a decision, not a plan. However, My Crypto Heroes now respects our community’s opinions more with a governance system. Therefore, we would like to ask governance for a final decision.

Please refer to the following when considering.

Some problems we have with Extension Wars

Structuring skills with “Gene” is one of the ways to have users play some role on My Crypto Heroes, and they can also enjoy the process itself. As mentioned above, it has a good side.

The problem is that only some people can enjoy it since it is too complicated and Land as a whole must build a consensus. It makes the game-level design more difficult too.

Based on them, we concluded that at this timing of renewing Land Nodes, transitioning to a new system explained below would be better, thinking ahead.

Then, we talked with our Advisor Team approved by a governance system and got positive feedback, so now we are asking the community for opinions.

It is neither a final decision of the Dev Team̟ and the Advisor Team nor the usual governance. We would like to propose a governance vote which is in the middle between them.

We skipped some steps usually needed when proposing because this was for the Dev Team to hear the community’s opinions and we needed to do it quick. Also, we don’t set a Cp reward since it is a kind of questionnaire.

Transitioning from Extension Drops to Material Drops and about “Craft” system

This plan comes from ideas developed from the discussion and proposals the community has made.

Below is a current plan, not a decision.

After getting the approval, we will start thinking about details and implementing them.

Below is a brief explanation of how and what will be changed.

・There won’t be an Original Extension drop from Nodes anymore and will be a Material Drop instead.

・Transitioning to the new system you can craft an Original Extension by combing a certain amount of specific Materials.

It will be like the following

・You need to grind Nodes, exchange Winners Tickets for, or “Desynthesize” an Extension to get Materials.

・You can craft and get one of the Extensions registered in the MCH Dictionary by combining Materials.
New Extensions are added regularly.

・You can get an Extension when a progress bar is complete.

You can get Materials in a market and don’t need to get all of them yourself. That enables each user to play a different role in the game. Also, that can liquidate GUM more.

Some Materials require you to “Desynthesize” existing Extensions to get, which would keep the game from going saturated with Extensions and help maintain the supply at a certain amount.

To move the progress bar, you need to consume Hero Stamina. Also, by introducing the EXP system to Heroes, we will create a new way to utilize your Heroes.

About grinding Nodes and consuming Hero Stamina, we will make a market for a scholarship program where holders can have some people play for them instead. We’re planning to develop a system that enables holders to share Materials with scholars and pay them GUM according to their Crafting performance in the future.

About Land Sector, we might have a system Materials of the Land get accumulated automatically little by little. The Land Sector holders can claim them whenever they like. This system gives holders not just the right to grind the Land Node but also the special right to clam the accumulated Materials.

Adding an “Aura” that specializes in Material Mining and Crafting is possible too.

How we introduce a new Extension

Once new Extensions come with their recipes, you become able to choose to craft them.

All players get the same Extension from the same recipe, but in the future, we are thinking of making it possible for users to differentiate their Extensions somehow like by adding “Extension Aura”.

We would like to have our community design new Extensions with us.

Therefore, it will be like the following

・Users can submit a proposal for new Extensions

・We make a governance system for Extensions, and the community chooses which one to adopt. By having a governance system for Extensions, players will become able to start a vote themselves. Also, since it is about Extensions, we think it might be good to have a vote not only by Voting Power but also by Winners Point.

・The chosen Extensions are implemented in Gym as a test, and we see how it works and what needs to be adjusted(adjustment period).

・During the adjustment period, we keep adjusting skills and testing with the community. After that, the community judges with governance if the Extensions are well-balanced ones that can bring some changes to the game environment. Then, recipes for new Extensions come officially.

・We might make it possible for us to adjust new Extensions for a certain period (like for 60 days after release).

・We make an Art Competition open anytime and will always pool some work.

As explained above, we have a plan that we can design new Extensions in a DAO way. It is not easy to implement the system, so for a while, the Dev Team will release new Extensions like usual. However, we would like to aim for that, listening to the community’s opinions.

Timeline

If this plan gets approved by governance, we would like to transition to the new Land Node system where you can get Materials instead of Original Extensions when renewing Land Nodes on 2nd June.

If this gets rejected, we will hold ordinary Extension Wars. In this case, we will make things a little simpler. It will be like each Land submits a proposal for skill designs, and we talk with our Advisor Team and test them on Gym to make adjustments for a better game balance.

We will release the “Crafting” system 2 or 3 months later if we transition to the new system.

While doing other development tasks, we will look to implement updates and the new system of Extensions the community designs.

Just dropping Materials for a long time before the utility comes is not favorable for the ecosystem, so if we conclude we can’t transition to the new system on 2nd June, we would pause Land Nodes for a while.

In either case, nothing will change at current Normal Nodes for now, and when renewing them, the Material Drop system will come to them.

*Our plan in this announcement is subject to change.
