It’s 2018 and Gen Z is more curious than ever before. The concept of cryptocurrency, blockchain, Bitcoin, and Ethereum, to name a few, have captivated today’s youth. With Google searches such as “How to buy Bitcoin?” appearing more often, the intrigue associated with blockchain is quite clear. MyCryptoHippo has acknowledged this curiosity and eagerness in today’s young adult population, and we’re here to help.

The marketing team at myCryptoHippo has played a major role in keeping our target audience in the loop about cryptocurrency and our company’s progress. For the weeks following up to our product launch, myCryptoHippo’s social media presence began with informative articles on cryptocurrency, Instagram stories providing a glance of our meetings, as well as a series called #MeettheHippos which featured some of our members and their respective stories. This campaign gave our followers and prospective myCryptoHippo players a look into our team’s journey from ideation to product.

A major step for myCryptoHippo’s marketing team has been our very first marketing campaign, featuring our mascot, Hector the Hippo! This campaign has striven to make cryptocurrency a fun, accessible, and easy learning experience by comparing it to various scenarios embodying these adjectives. This campaign increased our social media presence and allowed us to reach out to a larger audience.

With the Crypto Summit approaching, promotion was important in order to garner sales and to inform those who had purchased tickets about the exciting things in store at the Summit. The marketing team increased social media posting with graphics such as an early bird countdown, and posts outlining our guest speakers and sponsors. Our steady promotion made sure that our followers were aware of the Crypto Summit and all that was in store for it.

Currently, the marketing team is continuing to strive for a consistent social media presence, with company updates such as our guest speakers and placing second at the JEC pitch competition! We’re also getting ready to promote our upcoming Crypto Cup will soon begin.
