Basic design concepts to create a good product

On this article, I’ll comment about some design elements that will guide you to create a good visual product.

Alignment, spacing, typography, and colors. You have to define these basic elements at the beginning of the project. If you leave the decision to the end you’ll not do it and you might lose control of your design.

Why? because, when your team starts to develop the product they will make questions like “what space should I put here?”, or “This font is not working, can I use a default?” and due to the deadline you’ll accept the suggestions and, at this moment, the design is not yours anymore. That is why defining these elements before delivering the product to front-end is so important.

1 - Alignment

You should start with this one because it’s the simplest to do, alignment is how you position the elements on the screen, is where the page getting into shape, and when you define your creating limits. Without alignment, your project will get confused, polluted and hard to understand.
