That moment when you send an emoji but don’t know what it really means…

It happens to the best of us. One minute you’re texting, the next thing you know you’re communicating in teeny tiny images and symbols that you hope mean what you think they mean.

Even 5 years ago we doubt many of us expected that Oxford Dictionary’s word of the year would (or could) ever be an emoji — but it happened. In 2015, the “Face with Tears of Joy” emoji was word of the year. An emoji was the word of the year. Let that sink in. Now tell us, did you really see that coming?
