SKALE Staking Now Available in MEW Wallet App for iOS!
We are excited to announce SKALE staking in MEW wallet app iOS! Receive rewards for securing the multi-chain network and supporting DApp development.
Since its founding in 2015, MEW has always been an Ethereum wallet, focused specifically on Ethereum-based technology, assets, and opportunities. This is why, when staking on Ethereum 2.0 became available, MEW was one of the first wallets to offer staking directly from the wallet on MEW web and on MEW wallet app.

SKALE solves this problem by creating personal, specially configured ‘mini-Ethereums’ for DApps to work on, while DApps pay to use the SKALE service. With SKALE staking now available in MEW wallet app for iOS, you can help secure the network for both the developers and the end users, and receive rewards for the public good you provide.
Best of all, when you stake SKL, your tokens don’t have to be sent to a validator — they stay in your wallet. SKALE staking happens in epochs, which are 2-month periods during which your tokens are locked and earning rewards. The rewards are distributed on the 1st of the month, and staking will auto-renew every epoch, unless stopped manually. That means you stay in full control of your stake: tokens don’t leave your wallet, and you can take them back out at the conclusion of any epoch.
To try SKALE staking in MEW wallet, first you’ll need some SKL tokens. You can swap for the tokens right in the app. (If you are starting entirely from scratch, you should also buy some ETH in the app first!). Select the Earn tab on the bottom of the screen, and click “SKALE Network token staking”. From there, you’ll be taken through a few simple steps to get your stake accepted for the next epoch.
