The official dictionary definition says resilience is “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness” or “the ability of substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.”

Resilience will get you over the finish line when trying to change habits. On the journey of getting active many feel defiant once they have skipped a week of training. That little voice tells us, “See, I told you this isn’t for you! You will never be fit; it’s just not you.” We can take that advice or decide that failing is one step closer to succeeding and being resilient to continue our journey. A mantra can help! “I am resilient; I keep going no matter what. I am one step closer to my goal”.

This is often hard to achieve alone. An accountability partner is what helps you build that resilience. When you can’t find that resilient voice, we will be there to remind you of the power within you. Failing is part of learning. It’s normal, and sometimes we need to be reminded. We are a cheer squad that helps you through the journey of getting active and creating a life of health and well-being!
