Love While You’re Still Here

We’ve all been gifted with enough love in our lives from family, friends, guides, or new people who walk in and out. Yet sometimes our relationships reach a point where much is left unsaid and unexpressed.

We’ve taken each other for granted, shook hands with the three letter word called 'ego’, and just forgotten how to enjoy the moments while the people we love are still in our lives.

There are many thoughts I picked up from the book 'Tuesdays with Morrie’, but one of the things that stuck with me was how we always remember the ones we love after they’re gone. Those long speeches at funerals or the many facebook posts, why do they all come after the ones they’re meant for aren’t around to listen anymore?

We’ve all been given one life. And it really isn’t that short (limited, not short). Why can’t we complete our thoughts while we’re all here on the planet? People you love, shared wonderful memories with, or who touched your life in a small or big way, deserve to know what they meant to your journey. And they would feel happier if they heard you say it.

Let love always be an act in the present.

Appreciate the people in your life and remind them often what they mean to you. And if something’s holding you back, remember how short a while we’re all here for and drop it off.

While it’s a tiny existence when you think of the Earth’s insignificance, we can choose to make the moments matter, for ourselves and for others by recognizing these little things.
