Bigga Rankin brings together some of hip-hop’s finest in his latest “Diamond Awards” mixtape
The Diamond Awards, once called the ghetto Grammys, are upon us again, and to commemorate the eighteenth installment of the groundbreaking Duval awards show, toastmaster Bigga Rankin curates some of the finest tracks from the South’s freshest young hip-hop talents to feature on the “Diamond Awards XVIII Mixtape”. This fifteen-song compilation features some of rap’s future megastars at the top of their games, from Jr. Boss and Rubberband OG’s scalding-hot bars on “Ain’t Playing Fair” to Tokyo Jetz rollicking, thumping banger “No Problems”.
We’ve also got Jazzy Blanco’s fire poetry on “BMF”, while PurpMan Kash keeps it locked and loaded on “Jeezy”. The inimitable Black Montana is up in this joint too, with his insane “205 Days” being one of this record’s many, many high points.
If you want to find out who’s got it next in the Southern hip-hop scene, Bigga Rankin’s compilation is the best place to start. Stream it now on My Mixtapez!
