Travis Scott won’t stop giving and drops 3 news songs hours after “Astroworld”
Here I was, banging on to “Astroworld,” when I hear the news that Travis Scott decides to drop 3 more tracks.
News of Travis Scott (twitter | instagram) celebrating the release of his star-studded new album “Astroworld” alongside Kylie Jenner has been all up in everyone’s feed lately. After less than a day since “Astroworld ”dropped, Scott proves he’s not quitting anytime soon. On August 3, the artist returned to his .WAV radio show powered by Beats 1, and drops three new songs in a mixtape titled “Part Time”.
In an XXL Mag article, Kai Miller writes “On Friday morning, TravisZ teased the airing of the two-hour episode via Twitter. “.wav radio in a couple me and @ogchaseb back rocking,” he shared with his nearly 4 million followers. Shortly after, his tweet went viral as fans poured in thousands of comments.
Later on, Scott intermittently unleashed a trio of new songs including an exclusive solo effort titled “Part Time,” “Zoom” featuring Gunna, and Playboi Carti-assisted “Houdini.” La Flame also premiered a track titled “Death Row” from Cactus Jack’s newest signee Ashton Travis.”
“Part Time” includes lyrics about the loyalty and exclusivity of his crew,
“I can’t fall off, can’t go that easy. Gang just like fam. No new ones, can’t take no chance. They know I’m legend.”
While the second song, “Zoom,” talks about how Scott is sending out a warning shot to his haters,
“You can’t try none the brothers, the brothers try you. If you try one of us you get put on the news”
And as for the Houdini, Scott brags about the success of “Astroworld,”
“Yeah, I’m up in the trees if you need me. Yeah, back up and the gang go for a three-peat”
Elsewhere on the show, Scott talks about the recording process behind “Astroworld”, and gives praises for the amazing guest collaborators he’s worked with throughout his career and success. He talks about Justin Vernon, Drake, Kevin Parker, The Weeknd, and Pharrell. Describing some of the people he’s worked with as “ill” and calling them geniuses.
In a tweet, Scott announces the release of his third album, and people are going crazy for yet another huge success for Scott.
His partner, Kylie Jenner, also gives him a shoutout for his latest magnum opus.
