1. Social Media Specialist

Facebook was founded in 2004, Twitter in 2006, Instagram in 2010 — looking for a Social Media Manager job 15 years ago would have been a futile attempt. Today, however, it’s a booming career field, with good salary.

2. Podcast Producer

Mainstream adoption was in 2004. Today, podcasts a bonafide business, bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars.

3. App Developer

In 2008 was released the first App Store. Since that app development has created a completely unique business landscape. Today, you’d be hard pressed to find an established tech/retail/media company that doesn’t have a mobile app.

4. Influencers

Today’s biggest YouTube star is estimated to be worth around $16.5 million. Influencers earn thousands of dollars per post on social networks, that weren’t even around until this past 15 years.

5. Uber Drivers

Uber is estimated now to have 100 million users worldwide. In 2009 Uber was launched, since then almost anyone can work like a taxi driver from the comfort of their own car.

6. SEO Analysts

Search Engine Optimization Analysts are responsible for ensuring that online audiences can find their company’s content through organic searches. They were unheard in 2002, but now it’s practically a must-have role at any company.

7.Salesforce Developers

Salesforce is a top class software company in the world, created and creating huge job opportunities in software industry. A salesforce developer can write code or customise the existing code as per client requirement.

8. Big Data Architect

While the term “data science” has been around since the 1960s, it didn’t take off until the late-2000s. Now it’s one of the hottest career, you can expect high earnings and a surplus of job openings across many industries.

9. IoT Solutions Architect

The Internet of Things is the extension of Internet connectivity into physical devices and everyday objects. The IoT was “born” between 2008 and 2009.

Since that IoT became an increasingly growing topic. An IoT Solutions Architect is responsible for the vision, strategy, design and implementation of IoT solutions.

10. Cloud Architect

At the beginning of 2000s nobody heard about Clouds like a IT model. Most cloud platforms were not launched until the late- 2000s, but today, the demand for it has skyrocketed — along with the demand for talented Cloud Architects.
