A hyper-local platform that had a few rooms in one school has now grown to become the largest student hostel booking service in Nigeria in just 12 months of operation with database of over 5,000 rooms in more than 60 schools successfully meeting the needs of hundreds of students faced with the dearth of often overcrowded on-campus bed spaces.

This is no doubt a big problem that requires an A-Team to solve.

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with executives to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities.
  • Develop and improve strategies on landlord acquisition and retention
  • Develop growth strategies focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop and deliver pitches for potential investors.
  • Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent salesmanship
  • Build and grow landlord and property managers relationships.
  • Recruit and manage team of Field Executives.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to acquire customers.
  • Aggressively scout and develop partnerships both local and international

Requirements

Experience

  • Proven working experience as a business development executive or related role.
  • Experience in fundraising will be a plus.

Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Proven sales track record
  • Market Knowledge
  • BSc/HND in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

Work Environment

  • Work at the Office in Ozoro, Delta State [accommodation provided]
