Community matters and competitions galore!
When it comes to Web3 gaming, an industry still very much in its infancy, the importance of building and working with loyal communities like Myria’s can never be understated or underestimated. We’re proud to say that, in just a year, we’ve gone from a standing start of just a handful of committed and passionate individuals to a veritable army of Myrian’s tallying no fewer than 300,000 active members! Combine this with the incredible success of our Alliances Sigil NFT campaign, which attracted almost a million registrations and saw 900,000 NFTs minted in just a couple of months and…well, let’s just say our fans have made us happy.

So we wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of our fellow Myrians for their involvement and commitment to being part of what is shaping up to be nothing short of a gaming revolution. We believe that Web3 will eat Web2 for breakfast daily over the next few years. Instead of just giving people entertainment, Web3 will incentivize people by making digital assets that hold real-world value ownable. No more forgotten skins and weapons that give you an extra five points of damage. Those things will be for keeps, held in highly secure non-custodial wallets ready to deploy or sell in blockchain-based marketplaces. At Myria, we want to push this new paradigm as far as possible.
Competition time…
To celebrate all of these things and more — not to mention our recent 1st birthday benchmarked by the simultaneous onboarding of our 221st games partner—and thank our community for its dedication and engagement, we’re running a series of no less than SIX awesome competitions drummed up by our talented in-house team. That’s right, we’re giving away stacks of ETH plus some rare Alliance Sigils to a host of lucky winners. If this sounds like something too good to miss, read on to find out how you could win one or more of the great prizes on offer.
Stop the bot!
Possibly one of our favorite fun creations to date, we have ‘STOP THE BOT’ going live on 29 November, 1 PM UTC. The premise is simply to stop the Myria bot in its puzzle space, bang in the center, leaving no gaps, then screenshot the FULL image and post it in the comments. It’s much harder than you think! Follow up with a ‘like’ and a retweet or quote tweet of the challenge, and you could be one of five people to win a free Alliances Sigil NFT. Names or wallet addresses will be picked from a random draw, and if you win, you’ll need your wallet address to get your Sigil sent to you in January. Flex your Ville to win Ergons
If you haven’t heard of the very first game to launch on Myria’s leading Layer 2 Web3 gaming solution — Moonville — then you’re probably scratching your head, wondering what on earth that means.
Moonville Farms is a competitive play-and-earn blockchain farming simulation game with a closed-loop economy. Players must manage resources and production, develop their base (Ville), earn points, and level up. It’s a fun and challenging strategy game with many moving parts, and all Villes use different techniques to maximize efficiencies.
This competition is already underway, but don’t fret, there’s still plenty of time to go out and Flex your Ville. All you need to do is grab a screenshot of your Farm or Ville and submit it to our Flex your Ville Discord channel with a brief synopsis of what makes your Moonville Farm special. Next, you need to tweet about your Ville, tagging Moonville’s Twitter account to let other users know about your Ville and the wider Discord event.
Remember to pick your very best Ville, as it is not possible to submit twice within a six-hour period, and we discourage multiple submissions.
The competition runs from 28 November to 5 December and will then close. Thereafter, winners will be selected by the highest number of community reactions gained. The top 3 Villes will win a share of $500 in ETH distributed to winners as Ergon rewards, Moonville’s Alpha versions in-game currency:
- First prize: $250 + 1500 Ergons + exclusive and visible badge of honor in our Discord channel
- Second prize: $150 + 1200 Ergons + exclusive and visible badge of honor in our Discord channel
- Third prize: $100 + 1000 Ergons + exclusive and visible badge of honor in our Discord channel
Winners will be announced on 5 December, and their Villes will be posted on the Moonville Twitter account.
Guess the Word
Running throughout the month of December across our Reddit, Twitter, and Telegram channels, Guess the Word is as simple as it sounds. Just hunt down the word puzzle and clue and fill in the missing letters to reveal the word. Then post the answer in the comments and retweet. Five winners per post, per channel, will each receive a free Alliance Sigil NFT as their prize. Winners need to provide their wallet address where they would like their NFT to be sent.
Reddit Treasure Hunt
We know everybody loves a treasure hunt. To kick start Myria’s Reddit community channel, we’re throwing an exclusive giveaway of $600 in ETH. So, firstly, and if you haven’t already, subscribe to our official subreddit then check back regularly for clues. When you’ve done that, it’s time to nip off to a couple of our other social channels to find your answers. To make life a little easier, here’s a schedule of puzzle clue posts with instructions:

Myria’s mighty EOY quiz with $2K in ETH prizes
It would be rude not to end the year with a bang! And what better way than with a festive treasure hunt-style quiz? We’ve conjured up 10 questions with clues to tax your mind and test your sleuth-like capabilities. Each day at 1 PM CET, we’ll post a question on one of our social channels, so make sure you’re dialed in on Discord, Twitter, Telegram, and Reddit. Then all you have to do is find the question, follow the clue or hint provided, find the answer and submit it every time via the Gleam form provided. Then quote-tweet your answer, tagging #myria within 24 hours of the question being posted. There will be 10 winners per question, so a total of 100 winners will share $2K in ETH.
Meme contest. Are you a meme lord?
We thought this would be a great way to wave goodbye to 2022 and usher in the New Year. We’re looking for fun memes to make our community smile. The only thing we ask is that they are SFW (safe for work) and focus on humor or reflection and follow the server rules and guidelines. The three best submissions, as voted for by the community, will win $50 each in ETH. The competition will run from 23 December 2022 to 10 January 2023.
