Crystals of Fate: Building with the Myria SDK
The Myria Web3 Voyage event is underway! During this exclusive event, participants can learn more about projects building on the Myria Layer 2. One of these projects is Crystals of Fate, a next-generation card game set on a quest to reimagine the CCG experience.
To onboard the Myria ecosystem, Crystals of Fate utilized the Myria SDK, a tool created by the Myria team, specifically for game developers. To celebrate the recent big launch of their Genesis Sale on the Myria Marketplace, we sat down with Jonathon McKay, Crystals of Fate founder, CEO and managing director, and talked about the team’s experience with the Myria SDK.

That’s great! We can’t help but be curious, how have Myria’s developer products improved the efficiency and scalability of your game development process?
On the blockchain side, it’s been valuable to have a clear outline of what we need to do to get to our goal of reaching players with our NFTs.
Can you share specific instances where our SDKs helped streamline your in-game transactions and interactions on the blockchain?
Once you get past all of the initial setup the overall process and design is well suited for players to interact with any NFTs on the marketplace and it makes it a seamless process.
In what ways has our solution positively impacted the user experience of your games, considering faster player registration and transactions?
Considering we just launched our Genesis Sale on November 17, we will know soon enough how players enjoy the onboarding process of purchasing NFTs and the overall interaction.
Could you describe the integration process of our Layer 2 blockchain technology into your game development pipeline? Was it user-friendly and well-documented?
The integration process was fairly straightforward and well-documented online with Myria’s documentation available. The developers were also great at helping troubleshoot and problem-solve issues.
What features of our SDKs do you find most valuable in terms of enhancing the security and transparency of in-game asset ownership and transactions?
Unique token ID numbers and overall transparency are shown with advanced details of each game asset.
Have you noticed an increase in player engagement or retention as a result of incorporating blockchain elements into your games using our tools?
Yes! As we have incorporated our NFTs and brought attention to our Genesis Sale with all of our NFTs pre-minted on the marketplace, players are certainly excited.
How do you envision the future possibilities of utilizing Myria’s technology to create even more immersive and innovative gaming experiences?
We believe in Myria’s vision to be a true gaming platform for the web3 space as a whole. Аs more time passes and more games become readily available it will highlight this goal.
