Yesterday was the final day of the Metarush Obstacle Contest where participants could submit their original ideas for obstacles in Metarush. In case you missed it, fear not. One contest ends, and another one begins!
The Metarush Community Character Skin Contest
The Metarush Skin Contest is officially starting today, and once again, everyone is welcome to join! To participate in the event, users will have to create a skin for the Metarush player character. The best submission will be rewarded with 200$ in $MYRIA tokens. In addition, the skin designed by the winner in the contest will be featured in Metarush.
Participants will have the choice of creating a basic skin or an epic skin, or both! The differences between the two are described below but there’s one condition that’s valid for both — a part of the suit has to emit light similarly to the example above.
Basic Suit
The Basic Suit skins in Metarush offer subtle changes to the player’s character. While they might not alter the model drastically, the basic skin still provides a fresh look that differentiates it enough from the base model. In other words, the basic skin consists of a bodysuit that follows the shape of the character and doesn’t have any fancy extra parts. The design needs to be appealing just by its bodysuit function. Here’s an example.
Epic Suit
The epic suit uses extra costume parts that give the character a more unique look! It’s a more dramatic transformation giving designers a lot more creative freedom to create a skin that tells a story. Participants can freely use different themes such as space F1 racing, space cleaner, space bird, aliens, etc… it can be anything! For example, here’s an epic skin that we’ve already created. Notice how the different parts of the skin are distributed along the model.
