Beyond Face Masks: Exploring the Benefits of Body Skincare Treatments

It’s not just the skin on your face that needs proper attention. Check yourself, are you taking proper care of your body skin? If your skin feels dry, tight, flaky, saggy and dull, then you are doing something wrong or not doing anything at all. Unfortunately, just getting in the shower and rubbing yourself with a loofah is not enough for a beautiful healthy body, it’s all about regular, complete care.

Shower in the morning and evening

Sweat glands do not stop working during sleep, and a couple of hours after evening water procedures bacteria in the armpits (the warmest and most humid place) begin to multiply, causing unpleasant odor. That’s why showering in the morning is just as important as showering in the evening. It also helps to wake up your whole body and energizes you for the day ahead.

By showering in the evening, you cleanse your skin of the impurities accumulated during the day: dust, sebum, sweat and cosmetics. Clean skin is easier to breathe, active components of its care products better penetrate into the deep layers of the epidermis.

1–2 times a week you can lie in the bath, but not longer than 20 minutes. Long and frequent stay in hot water accelerates the aging process of the skin, as well as increases the likelihood of negative effects on the heart and blood vessels.

The water should be at a comfortable temperature, not too hot. Hot water dries the skin and can also affect blood pressure and cardiovascular activity.

Cosmetic products

Daily application. We advise against soaps and shower gels containing synthetic surfactants (surfactants). Choose natural products.

Products containing surfactants disrupt the skin’s lipid barrier, depriving it of its natural protection, which leads to the growth of pathogenic bacteria. In other words, they are too aggressive and lead to unpleasant consequences in the form of irritation, inflammation.

Soaps and gels with a natural composition clean gently and delicately, without disturbing the pH-balance of the skin.

Moisturizing and nourishing

To keep the skin soft, smooth and supple, it needs to be moisturized and enriched with nutrients.

For this purpose, use a milk, lotion, cream, oil or butter every time after a bath.

Milk and lotions are perfect for daily use, for example, after a morning shower. They have a light texture, moisturize well and absorb quickly without leaving a sticky feeling on the skin.

Cream oils and batters (solid oils) have a dense texture — intensely nourishing and moisturizing. It is better to use them in the evening, about 40 minutes before bedtime, so that the products have time to be fully absorbed.

It is recommended to heat any of these products before application (rub them in the palms of your hands) to increase their penetrating power.

Massage

To eliminate cellulite, the above recommendations, unfortunately, are not always enough. It is impossible to get rid of this feature of the body forever, but to make cellulite less noticeable and even almost invisible — real.

Cellulite occurs not only in overweight people, but also in thin people. Many factors influence its appearance: sedentary lifestyle, lack of exercise, slow metabolism in the body due to lack of water, poor diet and many others. All this leads to a violation of the microcirculation of blood and lymph in the subcutaneous fatty tissue, as well as the accumulation of fat in fat cells. The more these cells are stretched, the more noticeable the bumps on the skin become.

Massage will help to remove excess water and toxins from fat cells and subcutaneous fatty tissue, and as a consequence — to reduce cellulite. It activates blood circulation in problem areas, fluid movement in the tissues, disperses lymph, and also creates the conditions under which cosmetic products have the maximum positive effect.

Remember, every body is different, and what suits some people is not always suitable for others. Therefore, first of all, listen to your body and watch its reaction to each of your actions.
