I think you have wondered at least once why a certain “matcha tea” suddenly appeared in all cafes. In this article, I want to talk to you about the benefits of matcha tea and how it can be used as a reliable ally in achieving perfect facial skin.

Matcha tea is very good, but not always natural ingredients can quickly and effectively give our skin a healthy and radiant appearance. To achieve such a result, it is necessary to turn to modern technologies, and to consolidate them — to use natural ingredients. Modern technology combined with what nature has given us is the key to smooth skin.

Translated from Japanese, the name of this product means “mashed tea”. In fact, it is a powder made from young tea leaves, which almost completely dissolves in water when brewed, forming a thick, saturated infusion. The history of the unusual drink goes back centuries: it appeared in China, and from there, at the end of the XII century, it was brought by Buddhist monks to Japan. It was there that the art of growing, harvesting, and cooking matcha reached perfection, and the tea ceremony became not only a special form of Zen Buddhist meditation but also one of the most recognizable traditions of national Japanese culture.

Matcha contains antioxidants.

Antioxidants can help in the fight against free radicals. Scientists from the University of Colorado have demonstrated that the match contains 137 times more of them than in ordinary green tea. Due to such a high concentration of catechins, the product can be an effective tool for the prevention of rheumatoid arthritis and cataracts, and slow down the aging process.

Matcha tea helps to control blood sugar levels.

Regular consumption of the drink can help reduce cholesterol and normalize blood sugar levels, which means the prevention of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. It is important to note that this refers to the use of high-quality matcha tea, and not incomprehensible, bought in a small cafe.

This drink can help activate brain activity.

The use of matcha (in the form of a drink or a bar with additives) can improve the attention, concentration, and cognitive abilities of a person as a whole. And a drink can also improve your mood.

Who should not drink matcha tea?

If you suffer from sleep disorders or nervous disorders, then the drink is not suitable for you. This is due to the caffeine that is present in the product in large quantities. Hypersensitivity to this substance can provoke nervousness, irritability, or insomnia. Even a completely healthy person should not drink this tea less than 2 hours before bedtime and more than three times a day.

Also, matcha tea is undesirable for hypertension. In this case, it is better to avoid any products that can increase blood pressure. Green matcha tea is among them.

Matcha tea in facial skin care.

It is important to understand that matcha in cosmetics is an additional component of the formula. It supports and enhances the properties of more active ingredients. Matcha, unlike essential oils or retinol, is a mild component that does not cause irritation. Therefore, products with this ingredient are suitable for all skin types, even sensitive ones.

Useful properties of matcha for the skin of the face:

— lighten dark spots;

— improve skin color and even out its tone;

— prevent the aging process;

— reduce inflammatory processes;

— increase the elasticity and turgor of the skin.

Natural matcha tea mask.

1 teaspoon of matcha tea powder

1 teaspoon of honey (liquid or warm)

1 tablespoon of natural yogurt

Olive oil or peach seed oil.

In a small bowl, mix the matcha tea powder with honey until a homogeneous paste is obtained. Also, add the yogurt and mix again. At the very end, add butter and honey to the mixture. Clean your face from makeup and apply the mask to your face, avoiding the area around the eyes and lips. Leave the mixture on your face for twenty minutes. Rinse off the mask with warm water when using massaging movements and apply a moisturizer on your face. Important: if you feel a burning sensation or itching while the mask freezes on your face, then rinse it off immediately! The mask should not be applied to irritated or damaged skin. You should wear such a mask no more than twice a week.

Stay healthy and beautiful!
