The mobility budget: boosting the green commute

If you decide to take advantage of the new mobility budget for your company, employees who qualify for a company car can receive a private mobility budget based on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of a car. The employee is free to spend that budget on three pillars, depending on the options offered by the employer:

  • Pillar 1 — Environmentally friendly company car: an electric car or one that meets certain emissions criteria.
  • Pillar 2 — Sustainable transport & housing costs: choice of a range of green transport options including bicycles, electric scooters, public transportation and more. Also financing to help pay for housing within 5 kilometres of the office.
  • Pillar 3 — Remaining budget: any budget left over once transport is covered goes into the employee’s pocket, after paying an employee contribution of 38.07%.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, right? We’re just getting started!
