What is Mantle Network, and why expand to it?
At its core, Mantle Network is a L2 scaling solution built on top of Ethereum using optimistic rollup technology. One key aspect that sets Mantle Network apart from current L2 competition is the modular nature of its design which allows for much lower fees alongside much more complex transactions to be batched to the L1.
Mantle Network integrates an implementation of EigenDA from EigenLayer to bring Mantle DA to life — this creates a unique three-layer modular architecture, which allows the Ethereum L1 to handle settlement and consensus, EigenLayer for data availability, and for Mantle Network to handle execution.
This allows the Mantle Network to be especially quick and cheap for users to execute transactions — the network achieves a transaction throughput some 20 times greater than Ethereum (500 TPS versus Ethereum’s ~25 TPS)
