In the 21st we know that more and more people are turning towards business. Also we are aware that many of these people are entrepreneurs, that is, one who organizes and manages business usually with considerable initiative and risks. Or in other words someone who startup a business of their own by themselves or in groups generally on a small scale.

The development in rights of women and how society sees them has changed the status of women from being merely a housewife to owning their own business. We can find an accelerated growth in women entrepreneurs from the last century to this. Women now have the resources to pursue their dream jobs or starting up business of their own. And it contributes a lot to the economic status of the country as well.

The government of India provides various programs which are set to help such women financially to succeed in their dream of starting business. Even though there is increase in rate of women entrepreneurs, the problem lies in the fact that, in countries like in India women are not encouraged to work. Instead they are suppressed by the society and their dreams are nipped in the bud. Also the economic status of most women in such countries so bad that they have to depend on others for their daily needs. Only a change in the mindset of society will lead to a better growth in rate of working women. Still the progress from the old days shows us that women entrepreneurship will accelerate soon. And this will add to the empowerment of women as a whole.
