📍Recent research studies regarding women entrepreneurship have basically shown that women entrepreneurship has become a huge growth nowadays by creating a broader concept for the women who stood up with their hardworking and efforts in the different business platforms and all the difficulties that the women had faced while undertaking entrepreneur as a career choice or pathway in their life.

Many startups and businesses have been found over many years that the basic majority of the entrepreneurs are just men only other than women who poses the entrepreneur skills and ambitions. However, In the 18th to 19th centuries, women used to maintain only small businesses for increasing their income. On that time, the women were not considered as an entrepreneur due to their choices of business activity. Thus, they had to maintain more on their domestic responsibilities as a mother and housewife. In the year 1990, the increase of computers and the internet allowed the women for boosting into their business more efficiently which allowed them to be independent in the business world and showing their entrepreneurial skills towards their competitors in the business platform.

⭕ Here, are a few of the female entrepreneurs during the early decades::-

  • In 1739, Eliza Lucas Pinckney changed the agriculture in South Carolina by planting its own plantations Indigo as one of its most important cash crops in America.
  • In 1650, Margaret Hardenbroeck was a prominent and wealthy merchant and also worked as a business agent for several Dutch merchants,trading small items such as pins, cooking oils, and vinegar in exchange for furs.
  • In 1825, Rebecca Lukens become the owner and manager of the iron and steel mill the Lukens Steel Company in Pennsylvania.
  • In 1911, Madam C.J. Walker was an African American entrepreneur, philanthropist, political and social activist. She brought up her own marketing line of cosmetics and hair products for black women through her business Madam C.J. Walker Manufacturing Company.
  • In 1951, Lillian Vernon was the founder and CEO of the Lillian Vernon Corporation serving as its chairwoman.

Thus, many successful female entrepreneurs basically started their businesses as a second or third profession due to which many female entrepreneurs entered the business world later in 40 to 60 years old. As the women entrepreneurship base is rising, the challenges and obstacles are also increasing of the female entrepreneurs but still, they didn’t give up on themselves, and later, they overcome their problems by fighting back against their barriers.

  • Women Entrepreneurship.

::- Women Entrepreneurship basically refers to the process in which women create their own business by gathering certain resources, taking up certain risks, facing their problems, providing employment to other employees, and managing their own business independently. Thus, 1/3rd of the entrepreneurs in the world are basically Women Entrepreneurs. According to the Government of India, “A Woman enterprise is the one owned and controlled by a woman having the minimum financial interest of 51% of the capital and giving at least minimum 51% of generated employment to women”.

  • Importance Of Women Entrepreneurship.

::- Nowadays, women entrepreneurs play a significant role in today’s global platform for improving economic development and social progress. The intense growth of industrialization, urbanization, social legislation, and the spread of higher education and awareness allowed the importance of women's businesses which is increasing in every economy of the world. The female entrepreneurs now are becoming daring and faster in the working platform by not involving themselves in the business only for surviving but also contributing their inner creativity in work and proving their capability in the business sector.

  • Few qualities that women need to have in order to become female entrepreneurs::-

a) Ambition.

::- Women entrepreneurs in businesses quickly become adaptable to the business consequences by pushing themselves through the barriers in their business goals and having inner self-belief for changing the economy of the outside world.

b) Positivity.

::- Women entrepreneurs always keep a positive outlook on the upside of every negative situation in order to cope with the stresses and challenges they face with entrepreneurship. Having positive thinking basically helps in improving your health fitness and capacity for eager learning and problem-solving.

c) Mindfulness.

::- Women entrepreneurs always try to thrive for knowing how much their efforts makes a progress in the outside economy beyond their business platform. Successful entrepreneurs are passionate about their business activity and believe in the effectiveness of the business platform.

d) Gratitude.

::- Women should practice the habit of gratitude for changing their perspectives in their journey. Always be generous with the appreciation of your employee's help who work under your business and be thankful for every opportunity and every important minute that they had provided in your business platform.

e) Vision.

::- No women entrepreneurs became successful suddenly, neither they stay the way without vision. Successful women entrepreneurs are always different as they always have a vision for achieving their dreams by making plans for reaching their goals.

f) Don’t Surrender.

::- Women entrepreneurs always carry a full determination in their business activities and push themselves towards the next step of their objectives. Being an entrepreneur, no matter what he or she wanted to do in their life, there are certain lessons that needed to be learned from those who have already gone far away.
