Don’t We All Want A Shadow Daddy
Individuation through romantasy
Imagine a tall man with black hair, a strong jaw, piercing eyes, and enviable eyelashes. His body looks like it was honed in combat, and it was. He is a warrior. He will kill enemies and anyone who threatens to harm you without hesitation.
He follows a strict moral code, though admittedly, it is somewhat ambiguous. While he will defend you at all costs, including his own life, he also wants to see you tap into your full potential. He wholeheartedly believes in your capabilities, strength, and resourcefulness.
Sex with him is otherworldly (truly). He ravishes you with his desire, which fuels your own. Your body feels lit up and turned on whenever he’s in your presence. He connects you with sides of yourself that you didn’t even know existed.
This man (or, as they say in romantasy, male) creates the environment for you to individuate, which means to become more of you.
In romantasy speak, this archetype is the Shadow Daddy.
And really, don’t we all want one?
