The Reason You Struggle to Let Go of a Person, Place, or Thing

It’s not you.

If you’re struggling to let go of a person, place, or thing, it’s not you. It’s the Universe and the nature of the lessons it wants you to learn.

Without understanding this, we love to say, "Let go," as if it’s the easiest thing to do. I have taught “Let go” many times and tried to let go many times, but I find it much easier said than done.

Everyone would be happy if letting go were that easy. It is not, and people suffer due to their attachments.

People want to let go of situations that hurt or don't serve them, but letting go isn't something that can be forced. It's not a command you can just follow.

I held on to a person for many years, knowing deep down that I should let go, but I couldn’t. I tried to let go many times. It was like holding onto a warm coal. I could handle the heat at first. It was warm, so I held on.

The pain of holding on became my teacher.

I've learned that letting go is not as simple as flipping a switch. It’s not something you can do just because you want to, especially if you have so much love for the person or thing you are…
