What is the Spring (Vernal) Equinox?
According to an article titled, “Spring Equinox 2022: When Is It, And What Is It?” over at farmersalmanac.com, the spring equinox is defined as:
Vernal translates to “new” and “fresh,” and equinox derived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night).
So what does that mean? Essentially, our hours of daylight — the period of time each day between sunrise and sunset — have been growing slightly longer each day since the winter solstice in December, which is the shortest day of the year (at least in terms of light).
What does this mean for the collective energetically?
The equinox began on March 20th this year (2022) which also marks the beginning of spring. With it comes a huge energy shift.
You can literally feel it.
Every year we experience this energetic shift.
We usually just chalk it up to the seasonal change of spring and the return of the sunlight.
