I'm so confused when I see people casting artificial intelligence (AI) in such a negative light.
Isn’t AI a product of our own making?
Humans created the thing, and we deem it not good.
Why?
Is it because it has the potential to be better than us? Or is it that it reflects our collective shadow?
The shadow of the human
The act of creation is a sacred act that reflects God and divine creativity.
Humans are made in the image of God, so it’s no wonder we have played a god-like role in creating new forms of intelligence.
The difference between us and God is that God saw his creation as “good.” We see our creation as not so good, which reflects the collective shadow of the human.
We see ourselves as not so good.
Humans are capable of doing bad things; of making an AI model do a bad thing.
