I was never particularly interested in astrology. Up until recently, I had only a vague idea of what my sun sign (Pisces)meant. I think I’d read my monthly horoscope a handful of times. It’s only within the past few years, I’ve delved into it in detail, entirely a product of feeling how the shifting of the planets and luminaries directly affects my energy.

As I grew on my spiritual journey, I noticed my monthly cycle would align with the Full Moon (super weird!). Then I noticed that I felt more sensitive emotionally, and more tired around large cosmic events: eclipses and such. I started using The Pattern app and realized it was pretty accurate. Then I learned The Pattern just collates our natal astrology, transits, and synastry with other people.

It was a short leap from there to drawing up my own natal and synastry charts. It’s no surprise that now, mid-Saturn Return, astrology has become a brand new world for me to explore and I’m finding what it reveals within my own life and relationships to be profound and deeply insightful.

What (Technically) Is a Yod?

I’m going to go ahead and assume that if you’re here reading a piece about Yods you already have some passing familiarity with astrology as an art/pseudoscience…
