Doreen Virtue was a very successful New Age teacher that gave it all up to follow Jesus. In this video she explains why she no longer use her angel cards. A passage from the Bible was behind her decision to discontinue her angel cards.
Deuteronomy 18:10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells or who is a medium or spirits or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God.
Doreen Virtue lost family, friends, and her income when she gave up her New Age journey. She faced quite a backlash from the New Age community. She is called a scammer, con artist, and some even mock her appearance now that she has left the New Age.
Blinded By Bliss
The practices of New Age hide behind an illusion. They present an artificial glamour and lifestyle. People are deceived by the promise of bliss and shiny toys such as mansions and fancy cars. The hook that keep followers blinded is that negativity is not allowed. Criticism is seen as negative. New Age believers are taught to block out anything that doesn’t fit the “positive vibes only” narrative.
