It is almost certain that between friends, there is at all times a silent communication, a sort of unconscious mental conversation going on. ~ The Science of Mind ~

A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself. Friendships take a high degree of commitment from both people as they are there for you and always have your back. A true friend can look beyond a smile and can tell if you’re in pain.

Seeking another person’s highest good is the basis of a true friendship. No friendship is perfect and bumps are bound to happen. Those bumps shouldn’t make up the whole road of your friendship. In a true friendship, they call each other out when one is in the wrong. Real friends identify them in a mindful manner not to be spiteful, but for accountability’s sake. Often people don’t need or want advice, they want a listening ear. A friend is there to listen. They are very loyal, they are there during successes and failures. Real friends stick with us as we grow, and encourage us to be better versions of ourselves.

A true friend is loyal in confidence and character, always open and inviting to share concerns. When you are upset, a true friend tries to cheer you up. The truest friends are the ones you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you’ve had. They are someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.

The greatest gift any friend could ever give is to give one full attention and awareness. They allow you to be who you truly are. They accept without conditions. To have a true friend, be a true friend.
