Birds of a feather flock together, and then they crap on your car.

It is easy to take the opinion of the majority, but it’s much more important to be true to yourself. If you believe firmly in something, and you aren’t hurting anyone with your stand, then stay strong and believe in your choice. Life is worth living and integrity is a key to achieving self-esteem.

Integrity is choosing your thoughts and actions based on values rather than personal gain. It contributes greatly to ones sense of self. When you practice having good integrity, you are freeing yourself from so much self questioning. Integrity is when what you do, who you are, what you say, what you feel, and what you think, all come from the same place. Being a person of integrity does not mean that you are perfect and never make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, but only a person with integrity owns up to them. If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don’t have integrity, nothing else matters. It is doing the right thing when no one is looking.

“Living with integrity means: Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships. Asking for what you want and need from others. Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe.” ~ Barbara De Angelis ~
