Children are natural learners. Children learn when they have interesting things to do and interested people to help them. They love to be creative. They love to explore and one of their favorite things to discuss is the Earth, sun, stars and planets. It is important for parents to talk to them, listen to what they have to say, and answer any questions they may have. By accepting their ideas, a parent is encouraging them to explore their creativity. Parents need to make time to listen to their children about their discoveries.

How a child thinks and the way they sense and perceive topics, affects the way they learn. A child that is interested in a particular subject, learns and retains information at a higher rate. One of the things that children love studying is the Earth and how it fits in to the study of the Universe. They love learning about the vast and far away planets that are in the Universe. Children are intrigued to learn about how the sun is one of a billion stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. In science, the Earth is just one planet that revolves around the sun. Without the sun, the Earth would be so cold that it would be completely frozen.

The Earth is connected to everything else like a huge jigsaw puzzle. Children are full of curiosity and want to study the Universe because we all are living in it. When a child is curious about the Universe, it presents a perfect time for the child to learn about spirituality and how everyone can connect with the energy of nature and the Universe. We are all one. We are all connected together by this common thread, which is the Universe.

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. ~ Henry Ford.
