August will seem to you, Gemini, like you are in a spacecraft re-entering the atmosphere. It will be shaky and nerve-wracking, but also exciting and eventful. Two eclipses, along with a Mercury retrograde make for a very eventful month.
Gemini Lunar Eclipse for August 2017 Horoscope
On August 7th there is a Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, and this one is a doozy. Perhaps twenty years ago or so this wouldn’t have been such an important event, but with today’s world of social media and 24/7 news coverage, you could be in for an emotional day. Your strongly held opinions on politics, religion, society, and the like will seem like they are under attack, and you will have a strong urge to fight back.
There will also be a Full Moon on August 7th . Native American tribes called the August Moon the “Sturgeon Moon” because they knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most really caught during this moon. The Full Moon is when the moon’s energy is at its peak. The day of the full moon brings vitality, good health and friendships. This moon is also called the Blueberry Moon, for the blueberry harvest, but in color, it appears reddish when reflecting through a molten haze during the early hours of the day.
As we all know, there is so much negativity out there, so you should prepare yourself for this eclipse. That doesn’t just mean on the actually date of the 7th, but the days leading up to and after it. Try to take a breath before typing or speaking, and even better yet… isolate yourself from the world of negativity that surrounds us all.

Mercury is Retrograde in Virgo between August 12th and September 5th, and this is going to particularly affect your family life. This is another time that you need to prepare for and mark down on your calendar. It is a retrograde, and for this one it means that conflict is just waiting to occur. Prepare yourself, especially with extra patience, and thoughtfulness in how you communicate with family members and at home.
Look your emotional problems squarely in the eye. Soften your hard edge if you can. Avoid arguments. Actively seek happiness. Wishes often come true. Try to make more time for close friends and family. Be in tune with your family in a proactive way- ask how they are doing and take extra consideration in their lives.
On the 21st there is a Solar Eclipse in Leo and this could mean that you are out in front of things with work and your relationships. Mars and Venus are close, and Jupiter is playing a part as well as Uranus. You are going to be almost blindsided by good fortune, so be open and ready to accept it. How you deal with your career and your close relationships could be strongly affected, so take a leading role to make sure those are both headed in the right direction. Both of these will be in the forefront of your mind around this eclipse.

On the 25th, Saturn turns Direct in Sagittarius, and your very close daily relationships, like coworkers, romantic partners, and close family members will all benefit. You almost feel like a burden has been lifted, and you will be able to move forward in the right direction after a long time of some lingering issue.
