“Yours is the light by which my spirit’s born. You are my sun, my moon, and all my stars.” E.E. Cummings.

“We must strive to be like the moon.’ An old man in Kabati repeated this sentence often… the adage served to remind people to always be on their best behavior and to be good to others. [S]he said that people complain when there is too much sun and it gets unbearably hot, and also when it rains too much or when it is cold. But, no one grumbles when the moon shines. Everyone becomes happy and appreciates the moon in their own special way. Children watch their shadows and play in its light, people gather at the square to tell stories and dance through the night. A lot of happy things happen when the moon shines. These are some of the reasons why we should want to be like the moon.” ~ Ishmael Beah.

“The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.” ~ Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me.

The moon holds a mystical place in the history of human culture, shining steady with its beautiful, reflective light. We can see only the part of the moon that the sun is illuminating. As the sun sets, the moon rises with the side that faces earth, fully exposed to sunlight. At the full moon, the earth stands directly between the moon and the sun. It is possible to awaken thoughts of Spirituality hidden in the mind of a spiritual person by taking advantage of the intense mind activity on a full moon day.

When the moon is full, the gravitational pull of the moon and the sun are combined. The full moon brings stressful behavior but a keener insight into solving problems. This is not a good time to act on our decisions. The moon, passing through the sky during the daytime, rising at sunrise and setting at sunset, is called the new moon. The new moon brings with it the sense of calmness. Emotions in us get back to normal, and we will have positive energy and peace. Several days later, after the sun goes down in the evening, the crescent moon appears. The crescent moon is thought to bring us clear thinking combined with a positive outlook. This is the best time for making and acting on important decisions about our path in life, and realizing our dreams. Scientists are conflicted on the impact the moon has on human behavior. We at www.MysticalTalk.com believe that the moon represents inspiration and creativity while appearing to affect one’s behavior.
