What Are We Really Looking For? #WisdomWednesday
Often we wonder what our own ultimate meaning of our existence could be. Do we have a definite purpose, a plan for accomplishing something of lasting significance? Life is filled with questions, but do we have the answers that will manifest the path we should be taking? Are we making the right choices in life to get where we want to go? Who we currently are has been shaped by our past. It’s time to think to the future and how we are going to make our dreams a reality.
We first must understand that we are already complete and whole. When we realize that we are looking for what we already have, we will no longer be kept at arms length of what brings us peace and happiness. Our next path in our journey should have a measure of willingness to relinquish control and give ourselves over to a process that we cannot fully understand. Things go much more smoothly when we surrender our control and allow things to happen. It gives us the opportunity to see the bigger picture. We trust that the Universe will support us at every turn. While we are still on this earth, we should plan on, and expect, a transformation in thinking that should now happen over time.
We are all divine souls who are only separated by our individual egos. We affect others by who we are as human beings. Kindness is contagious. Goodness begets more goodness. We should take steps to realize our commitment to serve others and to be of value. Our community should be one where people come to trust each other. Make a difference! The secret to happiness is helping others. By helping others, we fulfill our own destiny.
“The greatest hunger in life is not for food, money, success, status, security, sex, or even love from the opposite sex. Time and again people have achieved all these things and wound up still feeling dissatisfied- indeed, often more dissatisfied than when they began. The deepest hunger in life is a secret that is revealed only when a person is willing to unlock a hidden part of the self. In the ancient traditions of wisdom, this quest has been likened to diving for the most precious pearl in existence, a poetic way of saying that you have to swim far out beyond shallow waters, plunge deep into yourself, and search patiently until the pearl beyond price is found. The pearl is also called essence, the breath of god, the water of life…labels for what we, in our more prosaic scientific age, would simply call TRANSFORMATION.” ~ Deepak Chopra, The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life ~
