Where the “Septenary Correspondences” of the Order of Nine Angles Went Wrong

The Order of Nine angles orbits around the idea of the “Septenary Correspondences”, a set of symbols similar to the Tree of Life as used by Hermetic traditions (e.g. the correspondences listed by the Golden Dawn and reproduced by Crowley’s Liber 777), but with seven major points instead of ten.

Those are Sirius, Arcturus, Mira, Antares, Rigel, Deneb and Naos:

The system, however, relies on the position of the stars to determine the correspondences instead of their actual sympathies.

As one can see, Sirius, for instance, a star positioned in the zodiacal sign of Cancer, but ruled by Jupiter and Mars, is listed as related to the Moon. Arcturus, which is also ruled by Jupiter and Mars, isn’t linked to neither of those, but to Mercury.

The alchemical processes are also wrong, although the order they are in might be because of the cosmology of the order.

I’m not sure what would be a good solution to this problem, however I’m interested in solving it in the future since the system is the key to the order’s Star Game, which is an interesting system to use, albeit somewhat broken from a traditional perspective.
