Thousands of years ago, before the creation
Before the beginning
There was disruption, Chaos
Everything that’s known formless, in turmoil
From the disarray, came a ray of light
Gaia, the primordial embodiment
Of the Earth itself, with her Ouranos,
Master of the Sky and many others
As old and powerful as her.
The Sky longing for the Earth,
Holds her in an embrace, siring
The mighty legion of Titans
Brothers and sisters twelve
Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Iapetus
Hyperion, and Cronus the sly
Beautiful Rhea, Thea, Themis
Phoebe, Mnemosyne, and Tethys
Not long, they fall prey
To the vicious fight for power
