Mythologies have always stirred me. From Graeca Kadhaigal (Childhood Animae dubbed in Tamil) to Percy Jackson, I have lived in the fantasy world of mythologies, and it’s my goal to re-create it. I feel great life lessons can be learned from the characters in mythologies (Yes, even from Zeus!)

When I came across Medium, the first thing I searched was for a publication related to mythologies, and the more I searched, the more I was convinced that there were none. So here we are. A publication exclusively for people who want to devour mythological stories.

New Writers

Myth Manor is open to all who love mythologies. Greek, Roman, Hindu, Chinese, Egyptian, anything and everything is accepted and cherished. If you want to submit to this myth-filled world, send your:

1. Draft Link

2. Medium Handle (For example, mine is https://medium.com/@sandhyaganesh359)

to the email: demystifyingmymythologies@gmail.com

For now, there are three categories to segregate the articles:

Poetry

A ballad where you write about your favorite mythological stories in the form of a poem. No restrictions on the poetic forms. But, make sure to include the tales in the end. Beautiful imagery is bound to captivate the readers. So make sure to include those too. Compile it and tag it under Myth Manor and Poetry.

Fiction

Dreaming about being Aphrodite or at least using Medusa’s head for personal gain (Ahem, ahem), Fiction is the tag you need (Add Myth Manor too, for publicity, wink).

History

This is the section where Mythology entwines with History to provide the best amalgam ever. Tag your article with History…… and Myth Manor.

Please know that all the articles are owned by the writers, and any spell checking or edits will be notified through private notes. No edit will be done without informing the writers.

Rules?

Actually, not much. But make sure you follow the curation guidelines so that your work can reach a wider audience, and don’t forget to cite references for the images or the content you use.

Since mythologies are filled incests and godly rapes (whatever heck that means), I can’t expect the articles to be without profanity. But make it sound flowery. For example, instead of

Zeus is a dick

He runs behind chicks

you can probably try this,

The all-knowing Zeus raised his shaft

At the sight of the damsel on the raft

thus, sparing us of the graphic details of his exploits.

If You Are Already A Writer
