Mythical Millennial Bonus #1: a brief interruption to your scheduled programming

I was scheduling to run a huge feature in Mythical Millennial this week, but here’s the truth: life has gotten the best of me these past two weeks. So, in an attempt to be a little more compassionate to myself, I’m going to move it to the next issue.

It would be hypocritical of me to skim over the reasons why today’s letter is so short: I’ve been seriously, seriously burning myself out. It was only when I found myself near panic-attack levels this week when I realised I needed to give myself more time. I’ll fall back in love with this project when I can give myself more breathing space to do so.

I’m not one to leave y’all hanging, so, in conjunction with International Women’s Day, I thought to list out my favourite projects by kick-ass women you should have a look at.

Hustle Crew
An amazing careers development platform for women based in London, aiming to empower women through content, coaching and exclusive events.

Femsplain
A community dedicated to amplifying female voices, whether trans, cis, or non-gender conforming. These guys are the most supportive, innovative gang out there — their membership subscription is well worth the investment.

Do What You Want Zine
The brainchild of acclaimed food writer Ruby Tandoh and her partner Leah Pritchard, it’s a one-off zine about mental health with possibly the most exciting list of contributors I’ve seen in a while. Buy it — proceeds will go to a variety of charities that need your support.

And with that, lovely people, I’ll catch you in two weeks.
