Hola Travelers! When we announced the Destination pages, many of you told that you needed an easier way to explore offbeat places. And here we are, with an update!
To ease your exploration of new and relatively unknown places, we bring you “Offbeat Places”. When you check out the Explore section, apart from the familiar search box, you’ll see some links such as:
- Offbeat places in Himachal Pradesh
- Offbeat places in Karnataka
- Offbeat places in Kerala
- Offbeat places in Goa
- Offbeat places in Rajasthan
- Offbeat places in Maharashtra
- Offbeat places in Uttarakhand
- Offbeat places in Tamil Nadu
- Offbeat places in Jammu and Kashmir
- Offbeat places in Sikkim
What’s special about them, you ask?
These offbeat places are not a recommendation by 1 person. These are automagically created based on the places that are much less visited than the other popular places but are loved by the MyWanderlust traveler community. And since it’s coming from the whole community, it’s not biased by a single person’s interests or limited experiences. After all, no one has traveled more than everyone, right? These are relatively unknown places so you’ll never find them too crowded!
There’s even more! As the popularity of places goes up (or down), these lists would — again automagically — push out the over-crowded places and bring new and less visited places to front!
Just as an example, the unexplored places from Himachal page shows — Sainj, Grahan village, Jibhi, Chamba, Pin valley, Chandrakhani pass, Great Himalayan National park, Sarpass, and Hampta pass. So 3 villages, 1 town, 2 national parks, and 3 mountain passes! Spot anything matching your interests?
