Updates to our pricing

For over 9 years, we have been providing quality MediaWiki wiki hosting with each plan at the same low prices they started out with. We’ve avoided a large scale price increase for many years and have grandfathered our existing customers on the prices they signed up with.

As we continue to grow, we’ve added more value-adding features unique to MyWikis, and we continue to make behind-the-scenes improvements to make your wiki run faster than ever before. Additionally, we’ve begun to hire talented software engineers with computer science degrees from top universities in the world. In order to make our future growth possible and meet the rising costs of business, we are updating our prices to better reflect our product offering, the quality of services we offer, and the current market rates for our technology providers’ services. These price changes will allow us to better serve you and increase the quality of the products we offer even more than they are at now. At the same time, as appreciation for your long-term commitment to MyWikis, we’re giving you access to special, grandfathered rates.

Therefore, we are following a two-step process to make this possible:

• Customers who signed up prior to July 30, 2020 will be adjusted to a new price that is 99¢ per month more than their previous price (or 82.5¢ per month for annual plans), effective April 5, 2021.
• On July 1, 2021, all customers who signed up prior to March 28, 2021 (including those who signed up prior to July 30, 2020) will be adjusted to a special new grandfathered price, detailed below. EU clients will also see a new price reflecting their country’s VAT rate.

If you paid for an annual plan, your new rate will take effect at the next bill. You will not be required to pay more for services you’ve already paid for.

The new pricing we expect to roll out is still a grandfathered rate, while taking into account our increased costs and allowing us to continue improving the quality of services. These will be the grandfathered prices effective July 1, 2021:

• MyWikis Basics (Grandfathered) will be priced at $6.99/mo, €6.99/mo, or £6.99/mo. (Annual: $€£69.99/yr)
• MyWikis Pro (Grandfathered) will be priced at $12.99/mo, €12.99/mo, or £12.99/mo. (Annual: $€£129.99/yr)
• MyWikis Corporate (Grandfathered) will be priced at $17.99/mo, €17.99/mo, or £17.99/mo. (Annual: $€£179.99/yr)

European customers currently using USD will also be required to switch to EUR (or GBP if they are in the United Kingdom), effective immediately.

Who needs to take action? PayPal clients will need to adjust their subscriptions to the new prices. For your next invoice, you will need to either change to paying with credit card (recommended) or cancel your PayPal subscription and reauthorize a new subscription for the new price. However, this is not recommended for those whose price will be changing again in July. Credit card users do not have to take any actions. We encourage PayPal users to start using credit card in order to make billing easier and avoid headaches over billing.
