NASA, CSA, CNES, JAXA, and ESA invite you to “Take Action” from home on October 2–4, as part of an entirely virtual celebration of it’s 9th annual hackathon.

What is the Space Apps Challenge?

Space Apps inspires local communities to come together, think intensely, and create solutions to important problems. Each year, Space Apps engages thousands of individuals in cities around the world to work with NASA’s open-source data in a 48-hour sprint. Teams of technologists, scientists, designers, entrepreneurs, artists, and others collaborate to answer some of the most pressing challenges on Earth and in space.

My advice to all the participant's taking part in the hackathon this weekend is to get stuck in, make friends, and enjoy the process. Sometimes the best outcomes of the solutions to challenges might well be some of the magical relationships you cultivate in your space future. While we are all joining in virtually, make sure you all take breaks from your screens, fuel you brain with some healthy snacks and enjoy the process.
