UX and content strategy on website design project

This website design project for an alliance of Norwegian housing associations was the first step in a three-year plan for creating a unique customer experience and digitalising the businesses. The plan was put together on the basis of user insights from an extensive design thinking project.
The website design project was the first effort to better utilise the digital platforms of four of the housing associations. Although separate businesses with separate websites, the new sites were to be built upon the same design.
My role as a content strategist on this project started with an analysis of the existing content on all four websites. I then planned and facilitated workshops with the clients to engage them in using the core model to ensure that all decisions would help us meet user needs and business objectives. In a nutshell, the core model is a design framework that helps us carry out a content-driven website design process by focusing on the core tasks that the users need to accomplish when they visit the website.

I collaborated closely with other designers and the developers, and together we used impact mapping and personas to ensure that we were redesigning for real user needs.
I also planned, produced and published the content for all four websites, built forms and edited images while coordinating and communicating with four clients in four different cities.
Out of the four websites, this is the one I’d like you to check out.
