Hover and Herd: What Words May Come

If parents treated their littlies the way writers do their brainchildren, we’d have a pandemic on our hands. The internet is carried not on the wings of a gazillion unseen protocol stacks but, instead, the phantoms of infinitesimal writing pieces that, despite most writers’ best intentions, slip away from them to join the horde of words lost ‘n forgotten.

Tolkien, ever the feel-good guy, offers hope:

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.”
